Editor Picks: Stylish Gift Ideas From Carmen’s 2025 Holiday Wish List

Along with all the holiday gatherings and quality time with family and friends, it also means gift giving…and gift receiving. I admittedly haven’t started putting my shopping list together for everyone in my life, so I was a little taken aback when I got a text last week asking what I wanted for Christmas. Since I got that message, I realized I needed to get my head in the holiday game.

So, I pulled together my holiday wish list filled with some of my favorite fashion, home and tech finds. And what better place to share it than here?

Gifts For My Closet

Even though I have a pretty robust wardrobe, I’m always looking for that one piece that I feel like I’m missing. I tend to always go bold with my style choices, so when I want something classic, I find I have a few gaps.

One of the things that I’m loving right now is the cable knit sweater trend. I only have one or two simple ones, so I have my eye on this Italian Merino Blend Sweater from Banana Republic. I love the detailed cable stitching, the oversized fit and the fact that it’s 80% merino wool. It gives that warm and cozy feeling that I’m looking for in all my sweaters these days.

I was also browsing for some new boots recently; looking mostly for some flat options, as that is my current go-to style. While on the prowl, I found these Riggs Banana Leather boots from Steve Madden. I almost gasped when I saw them because they are almost exactly the same boots that I purchased from Steve Madden more than 20 years ago. It was actually my very first purchase from the brand! It truly shows how fashion always comes full circle. Sadly, I don’t have the original pair anymore, so I didn’t think twice when adding these to my holiday wish list.

I know pajamas for Christmas can feel cliché and maybe even a little boring, but I’ve still added some to my list. Something lux and bold, but also comfortable is a must. So when I found these LyreBird Cloud Flannel Pajama top, and pants, I immediately added them to my list. The patterns are beautiful, and they are perfect to wear at home on those chilly nights when you are ready to hang up your old sweatpants.

Finally, I’ve always had my eye on a personalized signet ring. So I’ve added this Engravable 14kt Gold Bespoke Signet Ring to my wish list. The delicate silhouette and the durable precious metal make this the perfect option for me to wear day in and day out, and feel good about it lasting a lifetime.

Gifts For My Home (and Tech Finds)

Any time I have the opportunity to enhance something in my home, I always take it. Holiday gifting is always a great time take stock on what I have and what I want so I can add any fun new items to my holiday wish list. This year is no different; so for my home, I’m looking for some new upgrades in the kitchen, some new tech, and some cozy additions to my living space. Here’s what I have my eye on.

I’ve been enjoying trying more and more new recipes throughout the year, but unfortunately not all the folks in my household do a great job of taking care of our cookware. That being said, I’m in the market for a new set of everyday cookware. I want something that is going to be my new forever cookware, so I’ve got my eye on cast iron. When I found this Enameled Cast Iron Cookware set, I knew this was the set for me.

I have the tendency to set my coffee down, get distracted and then come back to it about an hour later, only to find it ice cold. This happens both at work and home, so I’ve added this Temperature Controlled Self Heated Mug to my wish list. This will solve my cold coffee problem by allowing me to keep my coffee at the perfect temperature regardless of what distractions get thrown my way.

Another upgrade that I’ve added is a new pair of Apple Air Pods. My current ones are on their way out, and they’re a holy-grail item for me. I use them for chores around the house, listening to music and podcasts at the office, and catching up with friends and family on calls when I’m driving or cooking dinner. I went through a period when I briefly lost my old pair, and I realized how much of a crutch they are for me. A fresh upgrade would be such a treat!

An finally, I’m always looking for a nice cozy throw to snuggle up with when I’m sitting on my couch or laying in bed. I’m partial to a well-made faux fur throw. So, I’ve added this Maple Brown Faux Fur Throw blanket to my wish list. It’s perfect for movie night with the family, or a solo evening after everyone is asleep. Just give me my glass of wine and bowl of popcorn and I’m set for the night.
