Like many award shows we love (and sometimes love to hate), the Emmy Awards 2025 brought plenty of bold statements, jewel-toned gowns, and head-turning best-dressed moments. More surprising, however, were the number of daring open necklines and the abundance of Armani Privé designs gracing the red carpet—at least five gowns, likely in homage to the late Giorgio Armani, who passed away on September 4.
And while the event included a few sweeps and surprises, it was of course the unique looks that got everyone talking. Let’s dive into the best and worst looks from the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards red carpet.

This gown combines everything you want to see at an awards show. Gorgeous jewel tone, gorgeous silhouette, beautiful unique neckline. I love everything about Cristin Miloti’s look including her hair. I don’t know who Danielle Frankel is – I looked her up and she is a bridal designer in NY – but I have to say she definitely crafted a winner (and Miloti won an Emmy, too!)

I’m not sure what I love about this dress – I guess it’s the way it fits her. She looks great!

This actress almost never has a bad fashion moment and this is no exception.

In a night of open necklines, this was refreshing. (Unfortunately, Parker Posey didn’t do it as well.) I think she looks utterly divine.

Not sure what you all think, but I actually really liked this.

There was way too much black on the red carpet but I appreciated this unique seashell-shaped neckline.

Perfect example of wearing the dress (and the dress not wearing her!)

In one of the highlights of the evening, Lorelai and Rory reunited in honor of the 25th anniversary of Gilmore Girls to present an award for best writing.

Armani Prive
No shortage of Armani Prive at this year’s awards ceremony, most of it in muted tones like black, white and silver.

Prada
Prada also had its fair share of red carpet moments, worn by celebs like Leighton Meester and Scarlett Johansson.

Not a super fan of this one, but hey, it’s Prada!

More Décolletage
Bare shoulders and open necklaces were all the rage at this year’s Emmys, even if sometimes the dresses themselves left something to be desired.

Worst Dressed

Perhaps she should have asked Jean Smart for advice when she decided to wear sleeves. And here I thought I was a fan of Valentino…

I guess I understand what Jenna Ortega was going for, but…this is a big NO.

Look, I don’ t hate it. But this isn’t Little House on the Prairie.
