A Friends & Family Sale You DON’T Want To Miss!

Need Supply Co. has become one of my favorite shopping sites because their clothes are unbelievably my style. I love minimalism and modern lines and they curate some of the best styles I have ever seen in one store/site. They are also really smart because they carry items for both men and women that range from fairly inexpensive to OK, a little more than I wanted to spend, but not crazy. I have ordered quite a few pieces (mostly summer) from their online store so I am really excited they are having their yearly friends and family 25% off sitewide promotion right now!

Wearable Trends: Charming Capes For Changing Temps

As we are beginning to transition to that crisp fall weather (my favorite!) sometimes it can be rather difficult to figure out what kind of outwear to incorporate into your look. It’s not quite cool enough for your favorite parka or fur, but you still need something to keep you warm as you venture off to cocktail hour. Enter the perfect and stylish option: the cape! Regardless of the style, color or textile you decide to go with, the look of a cape draped over your shoulders is an instant elevation to your look.

Brown IS The New Black!

Forget orange! Brown is the new black. Brown isn’t exactly my favorite color either. I get it. However, I hate to break it to you, brown is the new “It” color for fall ’16. Instead of reaching for your go-to black this season, why not try to add some brown to your rotation of boots, bags, coats or even tops? Now don’t just think chocolate brown will cut it. This brown has a bit more camel or orange to it. Look for colors like potter’s clay, cognac, amber, English saddle, whiskey and cinnamon stick

Celebrity Style: Celebs Love the Colorful Vibrancy of Louis Vuitton

When former Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquiere took the helm at Louis Vuitton, leaving Marc Jacobs to concentrate on his namesake label, I worried this new direction would mean more monogram prints and less color for the brand. I was pleasantly surprised when it actually meant brighter shades and bolder looks. Don’t get me wrong, I like what Marc Jacobs did, (remember the Spring 2012 runway?) but there was something very young about his designs that didn’t happen this time around with Ghesquiere – even with all the neon hues and superhero themes

It’s Time To Restyle Your Closet For Fall

One good thing about getting older is you know what you like and you know what you will wear. Every day I tend to wear a “uniform” that can go from the office to evenings to weekends. And each season I try to update my look to include a few new trends I see, adore and know can work with my standbys or basics I wear year after year. Since fall is finally here it’s time to switch out my closet and revamp my uniform for the cooler days ahead. If I plan this correctly, I will be able to mix up the pieces so my outfits will look different and I won’t get bored either. On the other hand, I will be able to get dressed quickly (even when I am half asleep) and be ready for anything each day
