ZIIP HALO Review: My Honest 14-Day Before & After Results

It probably comes as no surprise that I have tried a lot of skincare devices over the years. Some I loved, some I forgot about after a week and some ended up sitting in a drawer collecting dust next to resistance bands and abandoned wellness intentions.

So when I started testing the ZIIP HALO microcurrent device, I was cautiously optimistic.

What immediately intrigued me was that this wasn’t just another lifting device. The ZIIP HALO is designed as a customizable 17-in-1 microcurrent skincare device with clinically proven treatments targeting lifting, sculpting, puffiness, brightness and overall skin health.

And honestly, that flexibility is exactly what many of us want in midlife.

If you’re interested in trying the ZIIP HALO for yourself, you can save 10% off the device and conductive gels by using my code FOUNTAINOF30 at checkout.

It’s a great way to save if you’re curious about adding microcurrent treatments to your skincare routine!

Why I Wanted to Try the ZIIP HALO

Like many women over 50, my biggest skincare concerns right now are lack of firmness, fine lines, puffiness, and loss of overall facial definition. Things just shift. Gravity remains deeply committed to its work.

I also wanted something that could complement professional treatments without requiring constant upkeep appointments that add up quickly.

I’ve tried a couple of other microcurrent devices before, but they felt a little one-note, so I never really stuck with them long-term. And honestly, I wasn’t always confident I was using them correctly.

That’s one of the things that immediately differentiated the ZIIP HALO for me.

Instead of offering one generic lifting treatment, the app gives you 17 targeted treatments depending on what your skin needs that day.

Puffy? There’s a treatment for that.

Need sculpting? Brightening? A quick refresh before going out?

There’s an option for all of it.

And honestly, the app may be my favorite part.

The ZIIP App Makes It Easy

I’m not someone who wants to read a large, confusing instruction manual. I want to turn something on, follow directions, and know I’m doing it correctly, which is exactly why I loved the ZIIP app.

Melanie Simons, celebrity Esthetician and ZIIP founder walks you through every treatment step-by-step with videos that make the entire experience feel incredibly easy, approachable, and almost impossible to mess up.

As well as offering stand alone treatments, the app also offers treatment plans to target different skin concerns such as getting glass skin or rebuilding your skin barrier, which I thought was a really nice touch I have never seen offered by other Microcurrent devices before.

I also loved how relaxing the device felt to use at night. The little ZIIP “bean” is comfortable to hold, easy to maneuver and surprisingly calming.

It’s kind of like using a gua sha, but with a lot more going on behind the scenes.

The 6-Minute Facelift That Hooked Me

Before starting the full 14-Day Non-Surgical Facelift program, I decided to test the famous ZIIP Instant Face Lift treatment first. The ZIIP also comes with 3 different conductive gels with active skincare ingredients, you need to apply the gel before using the device to make sure the currents can travel safely through the skin.

The treatment itself is only six minutes total, but because you work one side of your face at a time, I technically started with just three minutes on one side.

At first, I wasn’t entirely sure I noticed much happening.

But once I looked in the mirror—and especially once I compared photos—I could actually see a subtle difference in the lifted appearance of my cheek and jawline on the treated side.

Of course, I immediately had to do the other side because I was going somewhere that night and didn’t want to walk around looking accidentally asymmetrical.

But seeing that subtle before-and-after difference is what made me excited to fully commit to the 14-day program.

I’ve even heard celebrities such as Margot Robbie and Zoe Saldana use ZIIP treatments before major events when they want a little extra lift and sculpting without downtime, so naturally, I was all in after that.

My 14-Day ZIIP HALO Before & After Experience

I committed to the 14-Day Non-Surgical Facelift program and used the ZIIP HALO consistently for 14 days, with only two break days mixed in. I really love that when you follow a treatment plan the app tells you exactly what treatments to follow on each day for best results.

The program focuses mainly on lifting, sculpting, firmness and fine lines.

And if I’m being honest, at first I wasn’t completely convinced I was seeing dramatic changes.

Sure, my skin looked a little more refreshed after treatments, but I kept wondering whether the results were significant enough to justify the hype around this at-home microcurrent device.

Then I looked at my before-and-after photos.

That’s when I noticed the difference.

Before & After Photos

The biggest change for me was in the overall definition around my jawline and cheeks.

My face looked more lifted, less tired, and overall more refreshed.

Not dramatically different.

Not “I woke up with a new face” different.

But enough that I actually paused when comparing the photos side by side.

And honestly, I appreciate that.

At this stage of life, I’m not trying to look 25 again. I just want to look like the best, healthiest, most rested version of myself.

Is the ZIIP HALO Worth It?

I genuinely enjoyed using the ZIIP HALO, which may be the biggest compliment I can give any skincare device.

It was simple, relaxing, easy to follow and fit naturally into my evening skincare routine—to the point where I actually looked forward to using it.

For women looking for a non-invasive microcurrent device that supports lifting, sculpting, firmness and overall skin health from home, I can absolutely understand why the ZIIP HALO has such a loyal following.

Would I say it replaces professional treatments completely?

No.

But if you’re looking for an at-home skincare device for mature skin that helps you look a little more lifted, refreshed and awake without looking overdone, I do think it’s seriously worth considering.

If you’ve been thinking about trying the ZIIP HALO for yourself, don’t forget you can save 10% on the device and gels with code FOUNTAINOF30.

Now excuse me while I continue doing workouts for my face.
