Thierry Mugler is opening up on why he quit the fashion business. Besides the fact that Mugler constantly felt the need to keep up with his own image and solitude.
“The reason I quit fashion was that I had had enough of spending my time always being on my knees, making other people look amazing and fabulous,” he said. “I used fashion to express myself as much as I could. But at some point, it was not enough."
Mugler started at Clarins in 1997 with his best known fragrance, "Angel". Though the couture division closed in 2003, it was reopened in 2008 with a ready-to-wear label by Rosemary Rodriguez. The perfume division is still running strong with its newest addition Womanity.
