This season I am obsessed with all things wine…the color! Especially when it comes to lipstick. Several years ago I was told by a makeup artist that I could not/should not wear blue-based lipstick colors with my skintone. So I adhered to that. So I let colors I loved and wanted to try go by the wayside. Well no longer! When I saw the color Scarlet Empress by NARS, during my weekly (yes, it’s a problem) pilgrimage to Sephora I was fixated. So I tried it on anyway and guess what? I loved it! So will you. This semi-matte deep blue-red is truly gorgeous. Even on me! I just make sure I keep my eye makeup very basic as to not compete with the drama happening on my mouth!
I must be on to so meting because this color is sold out at several stores and isn’t all that easy to find. But, don’t worry…I found it for you!
