The New Yorker’s style issue comes out today, and who better to feature and pay homage to than the recently deceased creative mastermind Alexander McQueen. The issue's cover illustration features the designer’s butterfly hat,
originally inspired by McQueen's self-proclaimed muse Isabella Blow. In addition, writer Platon provided
the magazine with a previously unpublished photograph of McQueen, taken
in his early days as a designer, as part of an exclusive photo portfolio. The issue aimed to become a tribute and testament to McQueen's unwavering genius and innovation in the design world, as well as a sort of souvenir of his work that his devoted following can keep for years to come.
