The K-Fashion Project Goes to Shanghai

The K Fashion Project On November 4, The K-Fashion Project went to Shanghai, China to present three Korean collections: Buckaroo Jeans, Zishen and JESSI N.Y. at the Waterhouse on the Bund. Each collection was beautifully flaunted in a runway show styled by K-Fashion’s Culture Ambassador, Patricia Field. On October 23rd in New York City, The K-Fashion Project showcase accentuated the Korean brand Demo Parkchoonmoo, as well as JESSI N.Y. and Buckaroo Jeans. This season honored Patricia Field. This year also counts as K-Fashion Project’s third time showing in New York and first time showing in China. The K-Fashion Project, supported by the Korea Fashion Association, is a global initiative that contains a handpicked group of talented Korean brands to nurture in their efforts to break into new, fresh markets.

Patricia Field’s relationship with The K-Fashion Project comes from her trip to Seoul in June of 2012. Invited by the Korean government, Field visited the stores of Korean designers, including Buckaroo Jeans whom she worked with on her last three New York showcases. Since then, Patricia Field has continued to nourish the program each year by advising and mentoring each group.
