Tested! The 5 Best Neck Creams

I’m of the opinion that nothing gives away a woman’s age more than the neck. Well the hands too, but you have to look down for that. Yes, you can Botox your forehead and use filler for those labial folds until you look like a 25 year-old again, but if you have a turkey neck, the gig is up. As someone who has used eye cream religiously since she was 19, I’m obsessed with the neck area now. Maybe it was my mind playing tricks on me, but I swear I noticed a bit of crepiness in that area starting a couple of years ago. That was not acceptable so I did some research. I needed neck cream. STAT. Now the skin on my face is prone to breaking out when I use thick creams, but my neck is another story. I can use a spatula. I want that cream super emollient.  So I set out to see who has the best neck cream on the market today and tested (I hate to say) many. Here, in my opinion, are the 5 best:
1. Perricone MD Firming Neck Therapy $95
While this cream is not as thick as some of the others I tested, it is not less effective. Perricone MD Firming Neck Therapy includes Palmitoyl Carnosine, a peptide with anti-glycating qualities which helps prevent wrinkles and loss of elasticity; helps to firm skin, smooth neck creases and reduce the visible signs of aging. It also includes Phospholipids which help to repair damaged skin, hydrate and treat dry, more fragile skin and Tocotrienols which is a superior form of vitamin E that deliver antioxidant and emollient benefits. After 4 weeks of use: 97% showed improved skin texture (skin appeared and felt softer and smoother); 77% reported improvement in elasticity. Cheers to that!
2. 3LAB ‘Perfect’ Neck Cream, $130
I have become a huge fan of 3LAB. There products while pricey are some of the best. 3LAB ‘Perfect’ Neck Cream is an amazing hydrating and firming cream for the neck that helps to fight signs of aging. The formulation includes the bio-engineered growth hormone Nano-Claire GY to replace essential hormones that are lost with age. There are also advanced ingredients to reduce the appearance of skin thinning, sagging and a ‘double chin’. Again, I was totally impressed. I noticed a difference immediately.
3. Kate Somerville® Neck Tissue Repair Cream with Peptide K8™, $150
I loved this neck cream from the moment I opened it! First of all I love the cool dispenser (you push town on the lid and the proper amount is ejects) and the smell is divine. But who cares about this? Does the stuff work? Yes! The texture was just right and it applied beautifully and evenly. Kate Somerville® Neck Tissue Repair Cream with Peptide K8™ provides superior hydration, firming and anti-wrinkle benefits to the neck and can also be used on the decollete. Its Advanced Moisture Complex moisturizes and softens skin. As it hydrates, high-performance peptides and progressive technologies work to smooth wrinkles and improve overall firmness, elasticity, and skintone.
4. Lierac Paris Coherence Neck Firmer Intensive Lifting Treatment, $70
This French neck cream is enriched with Type III Collagen accelerating vectors (95%) and active tensing and restructuring ingredients.  Coherence Neck firmer is a highly effective smoothing and remodeling formula which helps reinforce the delicate skin support system in the throat and decollete area. Lierac Paris Coherence Neck Firmer Intensive Lifting Treatment had a little thinner consistency than the other creams, but I liked that a little went a long way. Definitely worth a try.
5. Kiehl’s Exclusive Rosa Arctica Youth Regenerating Cream, $60
While this Kiehl’s cream is technically not a neck cream perse I was told it was ideal for the neck area. It is super thick (too much so for my face) but is perfect for the neck area. Kiehl’s Exclusive Rosa ArcticaYouth Regenerating  Cream helps to significantly improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles and loss of firmness, while dramatically re-hydrating skin. Formulated with the Resurrection Flower, the advanced anti-age treatment helps to jolt skin cells. I actually love this cream and since I have some small samples, this is the one I take while traveling. It is also the least expensive of those tested. Bonus. And how can you not love all things Kiehl’s?
