Celebrity Style Steal: Gwyneth Paltrow Wows Us With Minimalism

Gwyneth Paltrow schools us in minimalist fashion in a white top and black pants. This outfit is easy to put together and has a clean, sophisticated look. To mimic Paltrow’s style, start with this white peplum top by Theory. The top features allover ribbing and a peplum which is flattering on many body types. Accompany it with a pair of cropped black trousers by Eileen Fisher. The pant has a slouchy silhouette without looking oversized with the hem hitting just above the ankle

The Recap And Fashion Drama of The RHONY Season 8: Ep 15

Watching this season of The Real Housewives of New York, I have come to two conclusions. One, Sonja Morgan is a whore. Two, LuMann is a bigger whore. If she did in fact climb on top of her future husband while he was on a date with his girlfriend of three months (holding hands no less) and left with him that evening (did he just leave his date at the bar?) then that is horrible and so NOT very Countess-like. In fact, I dare to say it is very “See You Next Tuesday-like.” If you are one of those suckers who bought her book “Class with the Countess: How to Live with Elegance and Flair” I’d either demand your money back or light it on fire. Those two obviously deserve each other. How disgusting.

Wear Now & Later: REALLY Wide Leg Pants

True, super skinnies are back in a major way, but if you want something really MAJOR try going the polar opposite with super wide leg pants and jeans! We are talking almost palazzo pants here. The look and vibe is more 90’s (think Red Hot Chili Peppers) than 70’s (not Abba) so make sure the detailing is not screaming hippie. You want these pants to be almost baggy and in some cases, dare I say…pleated? If you are a bit confused, take a look at the ones I found

Looks for Less: Simply Tied Up Sandals

You may have noticed tie up sandals have been popping up everywhere this summer. Instead of boring, ugly Birkenstocks or (god forbid) flip flops, a sandal that’s unique and chic is finally available in a price range that won’t break the bank. Lately, I’ve been loving wrap around sandals in neutral colors that aren’t over-the-top or ridiculous looking, like those hideous gladiator ones that lace up to your knee. Sandals that tie up around your ankle are very versatile and can be paired with a maxi dress, a long skirt and button up shirt or with jeans and a tunic style top for sunset cocktails on the patio.

Get Waisted! Tie Waist Pants

One summer trend both Carol and I have noticed and have grown to like is tie waist pants. One caveat, they need to be cropped with either a wide leg or a tapered leg. Now, we are not talking about sweatpants or pants with an elastic waist you pull on and tie with something resembling a shoelace. These pants have a discernible sash or bow that ties in front or to the side.
