During the first major snowfall in Chicago last week guests of the Holiday Trunk Show at Dennis Basso enjoyed hors d’oeuvres provided by A Tale of Two Chefs while they viewed luxurious fur and a jewelry collection. Hosted by Manny B & Co., Dennis Basso, Sevan Bicakci, and Blue Star Jets those who braved the elements experienced, up close and personal, the handcrafted designs of Sevan, considered one of the most coveted luxury jewelers in the world. The Istanbul based collection, worn by European royalty and American First Ladies, is available in Chicago at Manny B & Co and Barneys.

Perhaps our new first lady will be sporting one of these awesome creations!

In March 2002 Sevan Bicakci unveiled his first collection to an unsuspecting audience in Turkey. Today, just six years later, his creations adorn the shelves of the most prestigious jewelry houses in the fashion capitals of Europe, America and the Middle East and occupy pride of place in the private collections of jewelry connoisseurs across the world. From his studio in Istanbul’s 500-year-old Grand Bazaar, Bicakci turns out one-of-a-kind jewels crafted from high-karat gold, sterling silver, rose or antique-cut diamonds, and a host of uniquely cut gemstones. Everything about his work is distinctly exotic and original, and cannot be categorized.
