Just as fashion designers show us new collections every six months, so does Sasooon Salons. Along with constantly educating their stylists, Sassson is the only brand to release collections two times a year, which are developed by International Creative Director Mark Hays and the International Creative Team.
I had the opportunity to review the Sassoon Autumn Winter 2010 Blast Collection with Color Director Nicole Tabloff and Creative Director Marilyn Harmon at Sassoon in Water Tower Place in Chicago. They told me that the inspiration is life in motion and showed me examples of 20th Century Futurism, the art of Giacomo Balla and Sonia Delaunay and the patterns of Missoni who inspired this collection, which is aptly called Blast.
YES! I LOOK FORWARD TO #GROWINGYOUNGER

Blast captures the sense of motion at the forefront of Fall 2010 fashion and uses color and texture to express this in hair. Intricately cut and colored diagonals of hair give a rhythm and balance to a series of classic Sassoon shapes. The ochre color palette showcases the key color trends seen on the catwalk of the season. Rich brown hues from warm burnt sienna to cool golden ochre are transfused with icy umber.
If you care about fashion for what you wear, then you should also think the same way about your hair. A Sassoon stylst will always keep you current and has up-to-date knowledge. Marilyn and Nicole explained that they can use collections as a starting point for their clients who are often interested in seeing them. But they may use just one element or one technique of a new season, and only do what is right for you, the client!
