Project Runway, Season 11 Episode 8: Take It All Off! Memorable Quotes From Last Night's Episode

The judges are picking the teams this time! Here are the two teams the judges chose: Daniel, Patricia, Michelle, and Stanley; and Richard and Layana, Samantha, and Amanda. The male Las Vegas dancing group The Thunder From Down Under needs new tear-away costumes and the Project Runway designers are going to design them! After performing for Tim and the contestants, the Australian dancers explain the challenge. They are the clients and models this week for the show.

Each team will be creating three different looks that must be cohesive. Even though the designers have one day to create the outfits, they still have fun and name their groups Team Shades of Grey and Team Slick & Hip.

Actress and singer Emmy Rossum is this week’s guest judge. The designer’s struggles with this challenge are apparent on this week’s runway and they are chastised by Heidi. She even says “I think we should wrap this show early and you’re all out!” Yikes! The winning team by default is Shades of Grey and Team Slick & Hip is the losing team. The tension mounts as Team Slick & Hip fights on the runway and then Amanda and Richard end up crying in the holding room. In a Project Runway first, there was no winner! For the loser, it is between Richard and Amanda. Sadly, Amanda is sent packing.
