Summary: This Fall collection of Sass & Bide delivered the expectant avant-garde attire with a sassy edge as only designers Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton can deliver; but this runway wasn’t just about ribbons, fishnets, harlequins and punky hairstyles. The collection, entitled "Rainbows for Kate" is a tribute to Clarke’s and Middleton’s late friend Kate Mesley, who died from breast cancer in the fall of 2007. The collection had the layered effects of the more subdued overlaid with mad color and sequins topped with ribbons or silk. The designers worked to both contrast and complement the "vintage checkerboard" with "harlequin sequins". Pair some fishnets and knee-highs with that and you have Sass & Bide’s very meaningful but always outrageous collection.

Color Palette: charcoal, black, chartreuse, magenta, goldenrod, metallic gold and silver, soft blue, cream and pinstripe, olive

Textures & Details: cotton, sequins, stripes, organza, silk, jersey

Key Looks: shirred tights, trench coats, raglan sleeves, smocked tunic, pleating, ruched silk, frilled bodice, ruffles, knee-highs, draped jersey
