Nina Garcia Dishes On This Season's Project Runway

Nina Garcia

Thankfully Nina Garcia has returned to judging Project Runway. Things were simply not the same without her. Granted, I have my many issues with this season including disagreeing almost every week with who stayed and who was auf'd, and I'm happy to report that Nina has her qualms too. She opened up to EW about this season of Project Runway.

She touched on the lack of consistent judging this season, saying, "I think that we make a really good team: Heidi, Michael, and myself. We have a really good rapport in terms of deliberating. And perhaps that's what is missing. And we all bring different things to the table. It's a combination of personalities that works." We wholeheartedly agree.

While viewers are certainly on the fence about the judging this season, Garcia also disagrees with some of the decisions. "When I didn't see him, I was like, "Who ousted Ra'mon?! Who did it?! Who killed Ra'mon?! […] I know what Ra'mon has shown before. […] Even if he has a bad challenge, I know what he's capable of. But when I'm disconnected for a few weeks, it's harder for me to connect with the history of what he's doing. And the same goes for the judge that comes in. They're really judging them on that particular date."

She even went so far as to say, "I would have done things differently. Some things would have been different." Including the decision to eliminate Epperson.

Thankfully, next season the team is back in New York, and according to Garcia, "We're all there the entire time. We're all there. Nobody missed anything. Nobody was even sick. Nothing!"

Thank goodness! That gives me hope for the next season!
