During New York Fashion Week, everyone focuses on the clothes. Not Saks Fifth Avenue! The upscale department store brought in shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood to debut the newest heels for his Spring/Summer 2012 collection. And boy, those shoes did not disappoint!
Kirkwood is known for his outrageous bright and colorful styles, all while keeping the heel easy to walk in. Kirkwood also makes sure that each design follows his aesthetic without being too over the top. “It’s about having femininity and structure not being too much,” Kirkwood said of the collection. “I don’t try to make a crazy statement, sometimes it just happens.”

The designer was there to sign autographs for shopping guests while they sipped on champagne and nibbled on light snacks.
