Summary: “The journey continues” with Mara Hoffman’s Fall ’14 collection. Inspired by landscapes and textiles of Northern Africa, Hoffman incorporates Moroccan rugs, Bedouin jewelry and camels in the Egyptian desert to her adventurous collection.
Known for the carefree spirit of her clothing, Mara Hoffman adds a level of sophistication this season with her choice of colors and silhouettes. Black is notably the most popular color sent down this runway—elevating several graphic prints and adding a demure touch to an intricate, braided dress. Long wool coats and slim pants walk side by side silk jumpsuits and body conscience dresses. But for those of you who are missing Mara Hoffman’s vibrant style, there is no shortage of colorful detailing. Beaded caftans, sequined tunics and fringe outerwear in colors of desert sand added much excitement to the many dark looks. The show closed with a dramatic beaded gown and a matching floor length veil leaving everyone dreaming of warmer weather and planning their next holiday.
