Lucite heels are taking the stage and not in the way that we’re used to seeing (need I say more?) These days Lucite is hitting runways hard and has been updated to be classy and fashion forward. Lucite heels eased onto the radar and has become highly sought out among the fashion forward and adventurous. It’s a nod to the mod fashions of the 1960s, without being too retro.
This trend is fun because it can be paired with almost anything because the block heel is generally clear. So you don’t have to worry about your shoes clashing with your favorite outfit. Just throw these babies on with one of your tried and true looks and head out the door!
As much as I think this trend can span any and all levels of fashion interests, it can still be a little bit of a risk if you sway more simple or conservative with your look. If this is you, don’t worry. You are by no means required to throw on a 4 inch Lucite block heel and go strutting down the street!

You can bring this trend down to your comfort level with a small kitten heel or a shorter 2-3 inch version, like these super edgy Alexander McQueen ankle strap pair. Because the modern day Lucite heels tend to be constructed with a chunkier heel, you should be able to walk around comfortably in them and not miss a beat.
How To WEar Lucite Heels
My favorite way to wear a modern day Lucite heel is a super sexy pair such as these the Steve Madden Margot pumps, with some lighter wash jeans in a cuffed straight leg or skinny style (yes I am still partial to skinnies, although many other styles have currently made their way into my rotation) combined with a simple white or solid color tee. Other top options include a crisp white button front shirt or a drapey, shoulder-baring light weight knit sweater (my definition of comfort AND style). This is a fun trend to get on board with and I encourage all the fashion enthusiasts out there to give this one a try!
