Gallery Aesthete Opens In Wicker Park. Take a Peek Inside!
Gallery Aesthete will open its new Wicker Park showroom doors on Friday, August 19th, making a move from the (somewhat secret) Oak Street location to a more accessible street level gallery. Gallery Aesthete successfully achieves its mission to illuminate the relationship between fashion, art and object. Whether it’s apparel, artwork, fragrance, jewelry or accessories, each item featured within the gallery has been carefully curated with regard to synthesis and precision. The new storefront will continue to offer luxury and exclusivity of the work it has always represented and is a welcome addition to one of Chicago’s most creative neighborhoods at 1751 W. Division. The brutalist design of the gallery is the result of collaboration between interior architect Lukas Machnik and gallery owner, Stephen Naparstek.
Gallery Aesthete is known for its selections of avant-garde menswear but now (with more floor space) includes expanded women’s collections! Find Barbara I Gongini, Shaun Leane and Rick Owen’s Lilies & DRKSHDW. Or, when you get there you may find yourself gravitating to the men’s collections like I did. Many of the pieces are amazingly unisex.
