Fall Into A Pattern! Flirting With Florals For Fall 2017

Fall is upon us and I find myself intrigued with this season’s prints. My long time readers will know that floral prints are a springtime staple of my column, but now I’m pushing floral print dresses for fall – how original! Seriously, though, floral is the perfect eye opening pattern when the fall chill sets in.

I simply adore this Valentino cap sleeve dress. The demure neckline balances the short flirty skirt and the black and white floral pattern is the perfect departure from an all black outfit.

If color is your thing, then this Gucci long sleeved shift features a riot of color on a black ground. The school girl bow adds a hint of flirtation to this otherwise covered up look. Marni’s half sleeve shift features an abstract floral print that gives a hint of urban camouflage for the weekday warrior in you.

It wouldn’t be fall without an animal print or two and this Kate Spade one-piece dress features her signature girly details. Buttoned up with a big bow, the top of this dress also has sheer sleeves for a hint of sexiness. The skirt features leopard print fabric in a leopard-shaped applique – a sort of modern poodle skirt for the urban jungle that is happy hour.

One of my favorite prints of the season is Akris’ sleeveless shift which features a twilight cityscape. The horizon hits at the natural waist creating a tromp l’oiel effect. Effortless in its simplicity, the easy to wear dress will have everyone mesmerized!

I hope you enjoyed this little trip through the top prints of the season and are inspired to go beyond your trusty fall wardrobe staples. Why go monochrome when you can be dazzling in the best patterns the season has to offer?
