Upscale fitness brand Equinox has created a new class, Flow Play, which will garner the attention of yogis and music lovers across the country. Flow Play is designed for those who are interested in the healing properties that both music and yoga can deliver.
Derek Beres, yoga instructor and international DJ, collaborated with Grammy-nominated artist, Phillip Steir to create the class. Flow Play uses a variety of music from around the world to evoke an experience that is both spiritual and physical.
“Thanks to constantly changing asana and playlist sequences, new monthly themes, and an unlimited music palate that can include traditional Tibetan music, Indian folk, house, ambient and global beat fusion curated intelligently into the hour, no two Flow Play classes will ever be the same,” Beres said.
Flow Play caters to all audience by offering two different experiences. Flow Play: Vinyasa a more energetic and athletic class, that teaches its students the connection of breath and conscious movement. Flow Play: Restore is a slower paced class, for students who want to learn breathing and meditation techniques.
Currently, Flow Play is available at select Equinox facilities in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, and Boston. To find a class near you, visit q.equinox.com.
