Christian Lacroix has risen again! After facing troubled times, losing his design house and the rights to his name, the highly coveted designer has moved on to create a capsule collection for offbeat label, Desigual. The Spanish label, comprised of 25 designers, creates a collection of at least 1000 pieces each season, and is branded for its bright colors and vibrant patterns. They are most recently known for their publicity stunt involving customers spending hours outside of their Soho store in their underwear to receive free clothes. Lacroix’s line for the fall 2011 collection will be appropriately dubbed Monsieur Lacroix. His 30 piece line debuted this week at Barcelona's Fashion Week, and is a precursor to the more elaborate summer 2012 collection that he is set to create for the label.
