On Wednesday night Second City Style was in attendance as Goorin Brothers, the "Bold Hat Makers", cut the ribbon for their new store opening in the lively Lakeview neighborhood. Guests were treated to cocktails by 'Death's Door', beer by 'Goose Island', and hors d'oeuvres. As the live band played, guests tried on various styles of the new summer collection from plaid fitted brims to straw hats. Whether you’re an avid lover of hats, or a rookie in the accessory department, Goorin Bothers has something for you.

As a charitable deed, 10% of all sales from the event went to the Ravinia Festival's Reach*Teach*Play Program.
Goorin Brothers President, Ben Goorin, noted that the new launch of the retail space has always steamed from tradition. "Our style is timeless and full of inspiration, and we want to inspire people to wear hats every day." Sold.
As with any accessory, hats are often known as the statement piece of an outfit, or the focal point that can make or break your fashion choices. "People who buy our hats are usually looking to express themselves", said Goorin. We couldn't agree more.
The new Goorin Brothers store is located at 3243 North Broadway is the vibrant boystown neighborhood in Chicago. Customers can also shop at the Bucktown location at 1533 N. Milwaukee Ave or online.
