CFDA Launching New York Fashion Week: Men's

Men's Runway
The CFDA has announced the launch of New York Fashion Week: Men’s. The event will be a ‘standalone showcase for American men’s fashion’ with Skylight Clarkson Sq acting as its permanent location. Men’s Fashion week will debut with the Spring 2016 collections, on July 13-16, 2015. Amazon Fashion, East Dane and MyHabit will present the event with additional sponsorship from Shinola. The CFDA, which dictates the US fashion calendar, will continue to organize the biannual event, which will coincide with New York Men’s Market Week.
“American menswear has never been stronger or more creative. There are many reasons the CFDA is launching New York Fashion Week: Men’s. It gives the designers a business platform to show during their market dates and is an opportunity to demonstrate the collective talent of an important segment of our industry,” said Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA, in a statement.
New York Fashion Week: Men’s will include runway shows, presentations and special events. CFDA Board Member Tommy Hilfiger was an early supporter of the concept and will be participating. Other designers set to be involved are Calvin Klein Collection, Michael Kors, Rag & Bone, Public School, Billy Reid, Todd Snyder, Michael Bastian, Ovadia & Sons, Robert Geller, Duckie Brown, Patrik Ervell, Timo Weiland and Kent and Curwen.
