The French couturier's original flagship store at has been returned to its original 18th-century look. The new Parisian style gives nod to when Pierre Balmain first set up the shop in 1945 with 18th-century sculptures and stone floor tiles from French chateaus.

The $2.6 million renovation of the 2,500 square foot store started last November, re-opened and will have a christening today as part of Paris couture week

“Christophe wanted to revive the soul of Balmain’s historic headquarters, while linking it to the brand’s future,” said Balmain chairman and chief executive officer Alain Hivelin
