Celebrity Style Steal: Kerry Washington Gives Us Flowers

Kerry Washington gave a very public baby announcement at this past Monday’s Met Gala. With Mother’s Day on Sunday here is an easy-to-wear floral ensemble that can be worn for brunch or dinner. I love a great floral print! You can go either way: bold or subtle. Washington opted for very bold and bright and this Teri Jon by Rickie Freeman Floral Print dress fits the bill.

What To Wear On A Gray Day In May

What’s the best thing about fashion over 40? You already own a pair of ankle crop flare jeans in your closet … from the year 2000! However, the worst part is figuring out what to wear to stay on trend but not look silly for your age. Especially when the season is changing and you may have a bit of fashion dread about the warmer weather. Start by wearing pieces that are comfortable and fit well. Lately I find oversized pieces to be a great solution to this dilemma!

Summer Must: The Crescent Bag

Finally a bag we have not seen in a while! The hottest bag shape for the season is the crescent or half-moon bag. Victoria Beckham’s Spring 2016 runway collection made this very obvious. Now it’s the bag to covet and other designers have since followed suit.

Lifestyle: Ready, Set, Get Organized For Spring!

Despite the inconsistent weather, it is officially May and we can now say that spring is on the way. This means changing up those snow pants and winter coats for some light bombers and flouncy skirts. However, it’s not just about moving a few things around, sometimes it takes a complete re-organization of everything in your open spaces.

The 2016 Met Gala Fashion: Manus x Machina

The Met Gala 2016 was one for the record books! Not only was every celebrity fashionista there and just about every celebrity fashionista designer represented, but suddenly the younger celebrity fashionista generation is getting into the act! Baby bumps and Doc Martins with Louis Vuitton mini dresses ran amuck, but just how well did the celebs stick to the Manus x Machina theme? Some better than others. The fashion meets technology theme actually meant to hit upon mankind (Manus) vs. machine (Machina) but also about the fashion of the future. Therefore, it was expected to see lots of digital prints, 3D printing, laser cutting, and space age fashion. What did we see? Well, some of that – and also lots of gunmetal – to say the least.
