How to Style A White Suit Like Victoria Beckham

1. You can wear a white suit! First of all, you don’t have to be rail thin like Victoria Beckham to rock an all white suit. Monochrome looks are slimming, even if the color is white. A jacket and pants can hide figure flaws, and you can find one that works best for you. A jacket and pants are a great solution for women over 40 to keep you covered up, but still look stylish.

2. Get the right fit for your figure. If you are larger busted, a double breasted jacket may not be as flattering for you as single one button, and if you are petite, slimmer cropped pants my work better than long wide leg trousers. You do need to play with proportions when it comes to a blazer and jacket combo, so try on several styles and be sure that it fits you properly. You can get alterations to hem the pants or sleeves or nip it at the waist if necessary. When it comes to suiting a tailor should be your friend It’s the rare person who can wear a suit right off the rack.

3. Wear a white camisole or v-neck tank under a jacket to get the shirtless look, even though you will actually be wearing a shirt! You will be so much more comfortable too.

4. All white styling calls for clean and classic shoes and accessories. Take a styling cuefrom Victoria Beckham. Her black clutch and pointy pumps are minimal but still stand out because they contrast her all white suit.

  1. I love Victoria Beckham’s style but continue to ponder why is it she never smiles? While we can have the same “look” with less expensive outfits, it’s the fabulous “gaberdines” as my mother used to called them, that give the weight and crispness to her clothes. Oh, if I could only afford them.
