Maybe it’s because I love the film so much, but I’ve had Grey on my mind as of late. Cringing at the prospect of Drew Barrymore taking on the role of Little Edie and equally grossed out with the Mary Kate Olsen and Lauren Hutton spread in Bazzar, I decided to think about gray– why we love it this season and why it may actually be more interesting that black or (ew!) brown.
I admit that I’m partial to the LBD and it wasn’t until I did some perusing this past weekend that I got a crush on the LGD (little grey dress). In it’s darker tones it can be just as mysterious, moody and sophisticated all without looking like a late 80s and early 90s goth chick on a daytime talkshow. In a lighter shade it can be paired with the bold, dramatic colors of the season like emerald green, sapphire blue and maybe even the right shade of red. Gold and silver look equally stunning and when worn with the season’s black tights it looks truly lovely.– Amy Ko, Senior Editor
