Beauty Trends. Bye, Bye Brows!

Imagine your eyebrows were singed in a terrible fire or–gasp!–someone shaved them off while you were sleeping. 

You would be devastated right?

Now what if it was cool to have no eyebrows? Apparently, Givenchy says this is so. In a new Givenchy ad, Victoria's Secret Angel Adriana Lima and the other models in the campaign sport a look that's hardly glamorous.

Who knew the fashion and beauty experts were declaring bleached and erased brows as the newest trend for summer?

Aminaka Wilmont had models down her runway with played-down brows, but luckily, they weren't completely gone. Make-up artist Sinden used L'Oreal Paris Infallible Concealer to take them away.

It turned out that blacked-out brows weren't a one-time concept. Prada and Balenciaga made it a big part of their autumn/winter collections and Vogue magazine also featured the barely-there brow trend. 

And then there's Kim Kardashian, who debuted a browless look on her Twitter site. She said it was inspired by the movie Twilight and Prada's fall runway show. 


"This look was inspired by Prada's fall 2009 runway show and it is so unlike anything I've ever done! And no, I didn't actually get rid of my eyebrows, haha. Troy used an eyebrow concealing wax to hide them!" she said. 

Here's what I suggest: Don't try this at home!
