My Travel Wish List: Must-Have Items for the Ultimate Globetrotter

As someone who’s always traveling to new corners of the world, I’ve come to realize that the perfect travel gear can make all the difference. So, I’ve compiled my ultimate travel wish list for 2024—there are items that would take my travel experiences from great to unforgettable. These are things I’d love to pick up (or already have on my radar) to enhance my experiences. If you’re someone who loves to explore the world, you might want to consider adding these to your own list!

1. Audiobook Subscriptions

Having access to audiobooks makes the journey fly by. Audible and Spotify are my go-to platforms—especially since they work almost everywhere, even in airplane mode. A subscription would be perfect for my next trip.

2. Tiles or AirTags

I already own a few but can always use a few more to keep a virtual eye on my stuff. AirTags, Tiles, or any similar tracking devices are great for luggage (especially checked bags) but also a good option for expensive cameras or other gear like drones or binoculars. It wouldn’t be a bad call to drop one in a laptop bag either!

3. Travel Steamer

Because sometimes air-drying just doesn’t get the wrinkles out! If you want to look polished no matter where you are in the world, a travel steamer is a game-changer. After all, one can’t look fabulous in every snapshot if your clothes are all wrinkled! It’s not the most glamorous gift, but I know I’d definitely appreciate it.

4. Travel Mirror

For those places without a decent vanity spot, a travel mirror that lights up and charges off a USB port is a lifesaver.  A lighted, foldable travel mirror would make all the difference in perfecting your look, no matter where you are.

5. Foot Hammocks

This seemingly silly little device can make even the longest economy-class flight more comfortable. It helps elevate the feet and adds a bit of comfort to otherwise cramped economy seats. Foot hammocks can totally transform a 10-hour flight into something a little more bearable.

6. Elegantly Comfy Black Pants

A pair of basic straight leg black pants that can be dressed up or down works for pretty much anywhere. This pair from Alo Yoga is as comfortable as leggings but as polished as dress pants. I can wear them either one with a simple tee or button-up during the day, and pair them with a fancier top or perhaps just add a bold piece of jewelry to step it up.

7. Super-Luxe Passport Case

Of course, no one needs a Bottega Veneta passport case in the brand’s signature intreccio nappa leather, but I would feel fabulous whipping it out at the airport. Sure, it’s a bit extravagant, but i can make the whole travel experience feel first-class, even if I’m flying economy.

8. High-End Cosmetics Bag

I might not spend over $100 on the perfect makeup bag for myself, but would love it as a gift. When I’m traveling, having my beauty essentials organized is a must.
