Tory Burch‘s holiday collection is inspired by Truman Capote’s Black and White Ball that was held in the Grand Ballroom of New York City’s Plaza Hotel in 1966. It was considered the social event of the season and the guest list included several glamorous women of the time including; Katharine Graham, Marella Agnelli, Babe Paley, Candice Bergen, Lee Radzwill and Mia Farrow. The collection was also inspired by Tory’s childhood in Valley Forge where she used to love watching her mother and father get dressed for an evening out.
