Top Drugstore Beauty Picks: Part 2 Skincare

Drugstore-Beauty-2-Skincare
Upon finishing the post on my top drugstore beauty picks I realized there were also some pretty amazing skincare items to be found at your local drugstore as well. How could I leave those out? Mind you, I didn’t lose any of those in my makeup bag last fall, but I have tried so many – I thought I should share them with you. Without further ado…here are my top skincare picks;
1. Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Serum, $19.19
I prefer this serum in the winter months since it’s really more like a cream than a true serum. It contains super-concentrated amino-peptide + B3 complex. It hydrates my skin, but doesn’t leave it greasy. Go for the fragrance-free formula.
2. Boots No7 Protect Serum, $20.99
This is the best bang for your buck when it comes to serums! It’s light and non-greasy, absorbs quickly and leaves my skin super silky. I also prefer products which are hypo-allergenic which this is. I have used it under my sunscreen and foundation in the morning and under my moisturizer at night. Try their eye serum too!
3. Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Eye Cream, $13.99
It may be light-weight, but the hydration in this little tube really packs a punch! This ultra-moisturizing cream contains Glycerin, clary sage, avocado oil, Mafura butter, and Tucuma butter. Who doesn’t love bitter?
4. RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream, $18.39
This oil-free formula uses retinol to smooth lines and wrinkles at night. It contains a mineral complex of zinc, copper, and magnesium (helps increase cell turnover); glycolic acid (smooths). The thin white cream effectively combats crow’s feet and tiny lines as well as some creams you might pay at least 4x more for. It’s for good reason it has won Allure’s Best of Beauty award 5 times!
5. L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Day/Night Cream, $19.99
It’s pretty light so I actually prefer it for day, but it instantly leaves the skin softer and smoother. It feels like you are hydrating from deep within the layers of your skin. The key ingredients are Biolysat (increases cell turnover); dimethicone and glycerin (moisturize); and caffeine (depuffs).
6. Olay Professional Pro-X Wrinkle Smoothing Cream, $23.99
Olay has always been known for anti-aging, but i remember trying Oil of Olay years ago and being really disappointed. have things changed. It claims to make your skin feel and look like it did when you were younger and truth be told, it kinda does. They guarentee you will see results in 28 days so what to you have to lose? Just make sure you use SPF with it.
7. L’Oreal Paris Advanced Revitalift Deep Set Wrinkle Repair SPF Day Lotion, $16.99

Formula works to restore skin¿s fiber capital skin support network. Advanced Revitalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair SPF Day lotion by L’Oreal incorporates Pro-Retinol A, which is shown to accelerate cell turnover to create smoother, revitalized skin. This daytime formula contains SPF 15 to protect against sun damage. It begins reducing the look of wrinkles on contact and gradually fades deep-set wrinkles with continued use.

8. Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser, $10.99
Ever since a dermatologist recommend it, I have been using Cetaphil on and off over most of the years of my life. It’s my go-to in a pinch. It doesn’t lather and has the consistency of snot, which takes some getting used to, but it removes everything from your face with a swipe of a tissue.
9. Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash, $6.99
If you prefer some lather when you wash your face this is the best wash if you are looking for a wash that won’t strip your face. Perfect for sensitive skin too.
10. St. Ives Fresh Skin Invigorating Apricot Scrub, $4.69
If you are in a bind for an exfoliator that won’t rip your face to shreds, look no further than St. Ives. This scrub in it’s original form has been around forever, but it has been reformulated. It contains apricot extract (antioxidants and moisturizes), corn kernel meal and walnut shell powder for exfoliants. It smells yummy and leaves your skin polished and healthy looking.
11. Andrea EyeQ’s Eye Make-Up Remover Pads, $3.39
My mother turned me on to these back in days I first started wearing mascara. They have been around forever and still work like a charm in a pinch. Yes, they leave your eyes a bit greasy, but if you are over the age of 30 – that’s not a bad thing!
12. Dove Advanced Beauty, Clear Tone Antiperspirant Deodorant in Pink Rosa, $4.99
I have been a Secret gal forever, but once I tried this I switched. For one, I love the scent. Two, it works and three, I no longer get razor bumps. Woot.
13. Nivea Smooth Sensation Body Lotion, $6.59
If you need a body lotion that isn’t too thick, but moisturizes like mad, this is the one.
14. Curel Daily Moisture Lotion for Dry Skin, $3.82
Curiously strong for severely dry skin. Enough said.
