Versus and Superga, Versus Versace, Superga sneakers
Versus, Superga Partner on Collection
A new Italian design collaboration is launching this month — Versace’s Versus and Superga. The two brands have partnered on a colorful new collection of shoes, labeled Superga x Versus Versace and starting with a special edition of the classic Superga 2750 style in one of the key motifs from Versus’ fall collection. The shoe is marked by clashing colors, baroque visuals and the Greek key, and comes in cotton with a vulcanized natural rubber sole. The signature Superga label is in its usual spot on the side of the shoe, while the Versus logo is at the heel. The pieces are available starting this month in select Versace’s Versus boutiques, Superga stores and at shop.versace.com and superga.com.
Kilian Hennessy Creates Scented Jewelry
Kilian Hennessey will launch The Jewels of l’Oeuvre Noire, a capsule line of four necklaces for women, this month. Each necklace comes in 18-karat-gold plate and pure rhodium. There’s an onyx bead tassel necklace (whose cord is microencapsulated with one of six By Kilian scents), plus two other tasseled models and one with a locket. Each involves a cage system made of perforated metal that holds a ceramic piece onto which fragrance can be applied. The men aren’t left out either. The Leathers of l’Oeuvre Noire are four bracelets — in a selection of five scents — for men in either brown-and-gold or black-and-silver finishes. Their fragrance is said to last up to one year. Prices for the women’s line range from $245 for the locket necklace to $465 for the onyx piece. The bracelets run from $195 to $325. The jewelry is set to launch Sunday in the By Kilian boutiques in New York and Moscow, plus online through bykilian.com.
Nails Inc. Expands U.S. Presence
For Thea Green, founder and managing director of Nails Inc., her line of polish and treatment is as much of a fashion brand as it is a beauty collection. Nails Inc. is celebrating its 15th anniversary with new packaging and a number of other brand enhancements. Nails Inc. has also signed Alexa Chung as its global ambassador. She will team with the U.K.-based brand on a six-piece collection of fabric-inspired polishes ranging in textures from cashmere to lace. Chung will continue to roll out collaborations with Nails Inc. and will launch a holiday gift set in October.
Launching in August at Sephora and Sephora inside J.C. Penney, NailKale, $14, also includes the NailKale Superfood Base Coat, which contains aloe vera, lemon, ginseng, pomegranate and grape and an illuminator called Bright Street that includes ingredients like vitamin E, seaweed extract and a patented complex of minerals. The formulation is said to boost the production of keratin for harder, stronger and healthier nails. In June, Nails Inc. entered Ulta and in July, will add Nordstrom to its list of distributors. The full Nails Inc. lineup includes nail lacquer, priced between $9.50 and $25 for nail kits, as well as treatment and accessories, priced between $10 and $18.
