The Maison Martin Margiela for Atelier Swarovski collection

Swarovski and Maison Martin Margiela Collaborate
Swarovski has partnered with Maison Martin Margiela on a collection of jewelry made from Crystalactite, which fuses crystal and matte white resin. The couture and ready-to-wear pieces will go on sale in November and were featured in the Maison Martin Margiela couture show in Paris on July 3. A three-piece Maison Martin Margiela for Atelier Swarovski line will also be available for around half the price of the couture pieces. The jewelry will retail at Swarovski and Maison Martin Margiela stores worldwide. With plans to partner again in 2014, this collaboration marks the beginning of an ongoing relationship between the two brands.

Michael Kors Takes a Break with Men’s Collection
Michael Kors is breaking away from his usual schedule and will show his spring 2014 men’s collection at his New York showroom in July instead of waiting for New York Fashion Week. Kors explained that he wasn’t aiming to start a “calendar revolution” and doesn’t support the idea of a separate men’s fashion week in New York. The designer told WWD he didn’t want a “full-tilt runway presentation” for his men’s line this season.
