Net-a-Porter Partners with Tom Ford
Come this July, Tom Ford will be partnering with Net-a-Porter as the first online retailer to sell his men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections. “Net-a-Porter is extremely strong in selling designer merchandise online and obviously Tom Ford ready-to-wear online, bags and shoes is a massive draw for our customer,” said Net-a-Porter’s vice president of global buying, Sarah Rutson. Some of the fall RTW items for women to be released in July include leather military jackets, patchwork maxi skirts, embroidered dresses and denim and suede pieces. There will also be women’s shoes, accessories, cosmetics, and Tom Ford’s Signature Fragrances.
Jennifer Crawford Resigns from Calvin Klein 
The executive vice president, global communications at Calvin Klein Inc., , has resigned from her position. For 11 years, she has worked for Calvin Klein. She rose from director of corporate communications to senior vice president of global communications to her most recent role as executive vice president, which she assumed last October. “I’m taking time off to travel and explore,” Crawford said. “I feel like I’ve been working so hard for so long. I’m ready for a new chapter.” Calvin Klein is currently seeking a successor. 
Frye Plans to Open Four New Stores
Calling all lovers of leather! The New York based leather goods company, Frye, plans to open four new stores later this summer. The locations include one in Atlanta, one in Texas, and two in New York. They will be furnished to resemble vintage artisan workshops with workbenches, vintage carpets, and custom seating. The store will also add a personalized touch by featuring “the Archive,” a grid wall housing the brands handbags.
