Karlie Kloss Acting for DVF Fall Campaign
Supermodel Karlie Kloss can add actress onto her resume. She has not commented on the rumors she will be casted in “Zoolander 2,” but that is not the only acting Kloss has been up to. She launched a new YouTube channel last week titled Klossy, which she gives viewers an inside look on her travels and experiences. We can not forget her part in Diane von Furstenberg’s fall ad campaign. Kloss goes undercover as a sultry secret agent with her accomplice, her DVF Secret Agent Bag (a new two-in-one bag with interchangeable front pouches).
Alexander Wang Parting with Balenciaga
Balenciaga and parent Kering will not be renewing the contract of Alexander Wang. Spring 2016 Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week will be Wang’s last with the brand. It is rumored a search for Wang’s successor is in the works already. Wang was hired in December 2012, after Nicolas Ghesquière left after 15 years to head over to Louis Vuitton.
Manolo Blahnik Being Honored
Shoe designer Manolo Blahnik will be honored with the 2015 Couture Council Award for Artistry of Fashion the day before New York Fashion Week. The award will be presented on September 9th by The Couture Council of The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Blahnik describes the honor as,“one of the greatest accolades of my life.” After forty years of his career Blahnik just launched a collection of clutches this month inspired by his heels.
