It's coming down to the wire now: this weekend holds the official product launch of Jimmy Choo's apparel and accessories collection for H&M, and many a fashionista has been waiting for it with bated breath for months. Now, that it's almost here, rumblings of the inevitable frenzy have already begun. Racked, for instance, has already posted several layout pictures of the revamped H&M on 5th Avenue in New York, in order for avid fans of the line to bone up on their strategy beforehand. The site even mentions wandering around the newly reorganized space and noticing some intimidating-looking "muscle" guarding a window display—boasting items from the Jimmy Choo collection—so that no one would even get near those sumptuous leather boots and bags before the actual kick off date on November 14th. Makes you wonder what the stores will have to protect themselves come Saturday, the National Guard? SWAT backup? Today several fashion news sites are also blaring the collection's impending arrival so even if you wanted to try and live a normal, carefree life until Saturday morning, chances are slim to none. You're just going to have to succumb to the Jimmy Choo for H&M mania like the rest of us and stage your own plan of attack. And if you do make it to the stores early on Saturday, Michigan Avenue or otherwise, you may want to bring your riot gear. Just in case.
