We’ve sat the fashion world through an intervention for its sickly-thin models, and finally one fashion house took its first step toward recovery!
Prada design house finally set the skin and bones free (possibly to eat, who knows) who were supposed to walk in the 2010 fall fashion shows, which began February 25 in Milan.
Is that an applause I hear?
Wondering who’s going to replace them? None other than the oh, so sexy Victoria’s Secret models. We can actually idolize these women with their realistic curves we can emulate.
According to Hollywood Life, the fiasco went down during the fittings Wednesday night, where Prada’s casting director said “F— it!” and recruited Victoria’s Secret Angel models Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, Doutzen Kroes and Isabeli Fontana. They left immediately for Milan to arrive for Thursday’s 1 pm EST show.
Apparently, this instant decision resulted from the backlash Prada received with its usage of rail-thin models during New York Fashion Week and past shows.
There is no doubt that other fashion houses will step forth and begin their path to recovery. Too many models have died from this disgusting obsession of watching hangers walk down the runway. Is the outfit really worth the lives gone to waste?
