I know all the commotion at Stuart Wietzman this season is about the 20th anniversary of the 5050 boot (which I still want in leopard print and/or black leather), but I’m now obsessed with it’s first cousin, the Stuart Weitzman Hitest Boot. Even though the technical description is an “over-the-knee-boot” it is quite a bit higher than the 5050. Unless you are a six-foot tall glamazon these boots really come up to the mid-thigh. At least they did on me and I’m 5’6.5″
The Hitest suede boot, therefore, creates the illusion of mile-long legs and the 2.5″ stacked heel makes it both sexy and comfortable! Mine have been tucked away in their box in my closet for months, just waiting for the weather to turn cool enough to come out play. Yesterday was finally that day. I had not planned on walking as much as I did and would never had worn ‘new’ boots had I known I would clock about 2 miles. However, my Hitest boots handled the trek with zero problems. I’m sure the textured rubber sole on the bottom helped and I know these boots will be able to handle any weather NYC has to dish out.
Another Stuart Weitzman winner! If you are looking for a sexy, but comfortable and functional boot – look no further. The Hitest is the one.
