Last month I attended the Robert Verdi Holiday Tweet-Up (which I’m proned to do and love) and one of the items we were given was this Monika Chaing Kite Hobo Bag pictured above. Now realize I carry a baby bag pretty much 24/7 these days and when I get the opportunity I bust out one of my coveted, yet neglected, designer bags. Yet, a few days after receiving this large hobo I had a jam-packed day where I needed to run around NYC doing Second City Style “stuff” and since I was sans children I also wanted to sneak in a Core Fusion class at exhale. So I needed a bag that not only held my essentials, but would would also hold my workout clothes. I hate carrying two bags and showing up to a press preview with a gym bag is not attractive nor ideal.
So I broke out my Monika Chiang Kite Bag and you know what? It has been LOVE ever since. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love it. First, it is light as air. Second, it’s as soft as can be. Third, it comfortably holds everything and then some (it has 2 cell phone pockets and a big zipper pocket inside as well). Fourth, people will literally stop you on the street and ask you where you got it. I have since been taking this bag everywhere I go. I’m not even kidding, I’m obsessed.
It comes in two exotic print pythons. I have the one shown above with a contrasting cobalt handle and there is also a brown python print version with a yellow handle. I’m thinking about getting that one too (or another bag I love on her site)! Better still…it’s on sale! It was originally $445 and is now $267 so jump on it! Trust me, and thank me later!
