The military trend is nothing new. In fact it’s been in style for at least 10 years, and come to think of it…back in the 80’s I wore a ton of camouflage and army greens. I digress. Yet, this is the first time in a long time, military has been deemed a trend for spring/summer. They are calling it “utilitarian” but it’s basically military. Utilitarian simply means “designed to be useful or practical rather than attractive (which one finds in the military).” Well I find the look very attractive, very wearable and luckily it’s very on trend!
Spring and summer are all about living life with ease, and you can have it starting with a fresh cut and color from Sassoon! The Sassoon SS16 Collection – TORQUE was inspired from the heritage of Sassoon ready-to-wear hair and the infamous space-age mod look of the 1960’s. Post-dinner walks in the park, Saturday shopping trips, brunches al-fresco, ahhh! The benefits of warmer weather and sunshine soaked days are upon us. Good Lord. It is so hard to keep up with all the handbag trends this season, but one that is back in a BIG way is an oldie, but a goodie: the chain link bag. No, you don’t have to be a cheerleader or even 16 to partake in this hot trend. Of all the shoe trends for the Spring ’16 season (and there are many) one I am loving is the pom pom embellishment. I was a sucker for a good bow (in the 80’s and more recently), rhinestones (in well the 80’s again and more recently) and now I adore the pom pom. You need to have a bit of a sense of humor to pull this look off.
