Ever since I learned this past November I have suddenly developed allergies to a lot of preservatives and metals found in skincare, beauty and makeup products – my life has been turned upside down. Finding a body wash without unwanted chemicals, metals and additives isn’t as easy as you’d think…well at least good ones.
When I recently learned I had developed skin allergies to most of the makeup and beauty products I have held near and dear to my heart – it was unnerving to say the least. I pay attention to what I put into my body, but never gave what I put on it much thought, until I was forced to. Finding foundations that are healthy and work really well has been my mission.
I recently shared I have had to become a green beauty blogger out of necessity, so the hunt is on! My skin is no longer reacting well to preservatives and other gunk found in many beauty and skincare products. One premium skincare brand that kept coming up in research and recommended by friends was Tata Harper. Therefore I knew I needed to try some of the products. The line was founded in 2010 by Tata Harper with the brilliant idea people no longer have to sacrifice their health to look and feel beautiful.
Have you ever someone and instantly adored them? That’s how I felt when I met Dr. Jeanette Graf during this last New York Fashion Week. She is quite possibly the warmest celebrity dermatologist I have ever met (and I have met many). She gives excellent beauty advice and really good hugs too!
I was a teen and had a face riddled with acne I could not wait to be an adult so I’d never have to deal with it again. My mom would take me to several dermatologists and I’d try everything under the sun to clear it up! I even did Accutane. This was pre-Proactiv Solutions by the way. Now here I am, well into my 40’s and I still get zits – at least one a week – and some really hurt. Zits and wrinkles? Where is the fairness in that? Adult acne is a cruel joke
