You probably think you outgrew ruffled skirts, but I ask you to give them another look. Well the 2016 version that is. Ruffles are everywhere this fall and I particularly love them on skirts. But that doesn’t mean you should grab that old ruffle hemmed pencil skirt that’s been sitting in the back of your closet since 2003. No. The modern version you want this season is a ruffle anywhere BUT the hem. Look for asymmetrical cuts, ruffles on the sides, layered ruffles and well…ruffles everywhere on a midi or maxi skirt

One good thing about getting older is you know what you like and you know what you will wear. Every day I tend to wear a “uniform” that can go from the office to evenings to weekends. And each season I try to update my look to include a few new trends I see, adore and know can work with my standbys or basics I wear year after year. Since fall is finally here it’s time to switch out my closet and revamp my uniform for the cooler days ahead. If I plan this correctly, I will be able to mix up the pieces so my outfits will look different and I won’t get bored either. On the other hand, I will be able to get dressed quickly (even when I am half asleep) and be ready for anything each day
It’s no secret I am a huge fan of pajama-inspired fashion (not lingerie as clothing, Kim Kardashian). Give me a pair of silk pajama style pants and I’m in heaven. Same goes with a bathrobe. Therefore I am particularly into duster coats for Fall ’16. The silkier, the better. However, I am not opposed to wool either. The lighter fabric of a silky coat makes an ideal transition piece for fall and its loose fit is universally flattering. In fact I think every women should own one. Or two
