The Spring/Summer ’16 fashion trends are popping up all over the internet, in magazines and in the stores, but what trends can you really wear when you’re over 40? The options can be overwhelming and you’ve learned from experience to not go overboard, but you don’t want to be boring. It’s almost summer after all! So which new summer trends do you need? We get you want to give your wardrobe an update but don’t want to look like you’re trying too hard either. Well you’ve come to the right place. We weeded through all the latest trends of the season and found pieces we deem appropriate for women over 40, which by no means are boring! If we won’t wear it (and we are admittedly a bit daring sometimes) we will not recommend it. What we do suggest are useful, fun, classic, chic and comfortable fashion pieces to brighten up your summer of 2016. What’s the best thing about fashion over 40? You already own a pair of ankle crop flare jeans in your closet … from the year 2000! However, the worst part is figuring out what to wear to stay on trend but not look silly for your age. Especially when the season is changing and you may have a bit of fashion dread about the warmer weather. Start by wearing pieces that are comfortable and fit well.
