Summer 2012 Trend: Halter Necklines

Now this is one trend I will never be able to partake in, but I like it nevertheless. I hate anything around my neck. That includes chokers, turtlenecks and yes, halters. However, you may have noticed halter necklines in both tops and dresses this spring and summer. Personally I feel if you have a large chest you should avoid halter tops (another reason why I won’t wear them) as they have a tendency to make you appear more endowed. Yet, this is great news for our friends with A and B cups. Halter tops are a wonderful way to show off your shoulders though, so grab a jacket if you are headed to the office. Then take it off after five for a sexy evening out! Here are 10 halter top tops & dresses we are loving right now:

2. Milly Alina Halter Dress, $285
3. Derek Lam Backless Halter Gown with Metal Buckle, $1,743
4. Kookai Tropical Halter Top, $102.63
5. Milly Tribal-Print Halter Dress, $375
6. Halston Heritage Halter Neck Dress, $345
