When I think of plaid, I usually define it as preppy, conservative, menswear-inspired and uniform. Let’s just say it’s not typically my print of choice. For Spring 2025 designers gave plaid a modern twist—transforming it into something totally unexpected. The print appeared muted, inverted or shadowed in layered fabrics at Tod’s, on airy classic pieces at The Row, and in a subtle oversized design at Giorgio Armani.
