Nothing makes a woman purr more than a pair of kitten heels. OK, maybe no purr perse, but at least not scream in pain from trying to walk blocks and blocks of city streets in 4 inch heels. Any shoe trend that provide relief and is practical, yet stylish is brilliant in my book. So I am thrilled to inform you that kitten heels are back once again. What exactly is a kitten heel you might be thinking? It’s basically a short, slender heel, usually from 1.5 to 2 inches high. So a short chunky heel does not qualify (although we love those too). It’s more of a short stiletto. The style was actually introduced in the late 50’s, but made popular by Audrey Hepburn (remember with cigarette pants?). To look more modern for Spring ’13, look for kitten heels with ankle straps (a huge trend), buckles or even gladiator details.
