Saks Fifth Avenue and A Better Chicago, Trish Rooney Alden, Kay Krehbiel, Jill Rasmussen and Kara Wright hosted a cocktail reception in honor of Carolina Herrera at Terzo Piano at the Modern Wing in Chicago last Thursday, April 25, 2013. The gorgeous views of the city from all sides of the top floor was the perfect backdrop for cocktails and appetizers as well as the Carolina Herrera runway show of her fall 2013 collection. 100% of the ticket proceeds from this event will benefit programming for A Better Chicago.
The Fall 2013 Carolina Herrera Collection was absolutely breathtaking. Exquisite detailing, including crystal beading that glistened like shattered glass, fur and leather leather trims, intricate paneling and pleating graced each piece. From gowns for evening to suits and trousers for day, each of the pieces were tailored to perfection. Women ordered from the collection that evening, as well as the following day at Saks Fifth Avenue on Michigan Avenue.
