I rarely turn my TV on before 7pm, so most of these people are a mystery to me. However, I realize many woman watch daytime TV so they may recognize more of these actresses than I do. Although, I admit I watched "The Young and the Restless" and "GH" in high school…a hundred years ago.
Well, let me tell you…there is a big difference between the fashions for the daytime and evening Emmy’s! Most of the red carpet fashions this year were unbelievably tacky. Let’s start with the good and work our way down (way down) from there shall we?
The Good:

Portia de Rossi always looks stunning on the red carpet. Here she is in Lanvin and a brand new pink diamond Neil Lane diamond ring from soon-to-be-spouse, Ellen DeGeneres.
Ashley Jones. For some reason I really like this gown.
Chef Giada de Laurentiis looks elegant in understated black.

Kassie Depavia. She loses some points for the matching bridal shoes though.

Susan Lucci. You gotta love her! Ageless!
The Bad:
Heather Tom. This dress just looks cheap. Shiny on a red carpet is not a good idea.
Jordan Pruitt. Ditto
Kate Linder
Marcy Rylan
Kent King. Too many trends at once and just not appropriate for the red carpet.
Lesli Kay
Rebecca Budig. She looks all of 4’2" in this dress with a too huge bow for her petite frame.
Michelle Stafford. Close but the satin pipping is cheap looking and she needs some support.
Rachel Ray. Poor Rachel just doesn’t do red carpet well.
Rachel Zeskind. Does she play a villian because she looks pure evil. Too severe.
Gina Tognoni. Actually the gown is elegant, just why would you wear a dress the exact color of the red carpet?
The Downright Tacky:

Cristina Perez. That dress! That hair!
Judi Evans. I swear I just saw Naomi Judd in this dress.
Melody Scott Thomas. This woman is ageless, yet this dress makes her look ancient!

Robin Riker. This outfit is beyond bad.
Jeanne Copper. Look! I can fly!
Tracey Bregman. Kudos! She was on Y&R back when I watched it in high school so she is smoking! However, the dress is a little tacky and too revealing. Sorry.
Tyra Banks. Hate the dress and the blond hair. She looks like a hot tranny mess. Actually she looks like an Emmy.
