My boyfriend and I went to a beautiful party at Nomi in Chicago on New Year’s Eve, and to be safe (and to have more fun) we got a room at the Allerton Hotel, just a short stumbling distance away. My days of dressing up and not being comfortable are over and I hate to be cold in the winter, no matter how short my time is outside. So I wore this one shoulder blue-violet silk top by Robert Rodriguez and a tuxedo style jacket by Smythe. My pants are a trusty pair of Cynthia Rowley wool slim pants that may be 10 years old! My necklace was a bargain Vera By Vera Wang and, and also on the low side, my shoes are Boutique Nine suede booties. I was warm and happy for the new year. Older and wiser I say.
